It’s pretty hard to detect a termite infestation problem, as clearly, these bugs hide underneath the wood, which makes it practically impossible to detect the problem. Just a couple of years ago, I found out that my home was infested by termites, whereby I accidentally chipped my window pane, and I was surprised to see so many termites underneath the chipped wood. This prompted me to call the nearest pest control company to help me kill these termites, and according to the company, they told me that they will take at least a month to completely destroy the termite colony. On the other hand, the pest control company also told me that subterranean termites were eating through the wooden interior, and that they need to spray pesticide on the ground, with hopes of spreading the chemicals evenly and ultimately destroy the termites. Since I’m not a termite expert, I followed the pest control company’s advices closely, with hopes of getting rid of the termite problem. It took the pest control company 3 weeks to destroy the bugs, while another week was spent for observation purposes, whereby the pest control company monitored the infestation problems closely, so that all the bugs are killed in the process.
