We all know that metals will exhibit superconductivity when temperature dips to several hundred degrees below zero, and when that happens, strange things happen to microprocessors. In fact, microprocessors can be overclocked and perform amazing processing capabilities when it is cooled to extreme sub-zero temperatures.
On the other hand, it seems TweakTown did an amazing feat, whereby they dipped 4 Radeon HD 5870 graphics card into liquid nitrogen. Basically, they put the graphics cards into a benchmarking test, whereby the 3DMark03 scored at a whopping 200,000, while framerates burst into 4 digits when running on Devil May Cry 4. Also, TweakTown even rigged the machine’s Core i7-980X CPU clockspeed to 5.8GHz, while each GPU is tweaked to 1250MHz.
Would you like to own one of these magnificent machines?
